You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, with your whole soul, and with all your mind, (and) you shall love your neighbor
as yourself." Matthew 22:37-38

Back Home full circle

Hi there.. My name is Margaret Mary..

May 4th 2007, brought a change for us... We moved back to my old home town where I grew up. In doing so, we also returned my Dad, age 98 to his roots ..... I have lived in many placed including Ct. and Florida.
It has been an awesome experience to move back home....

Almost every day for a month Dad had visitors .......people who have heard he is back in town. Understand, this is a "small" community with approximately 1,900 people (except in the summer when the population doubles).. Everyone knows everyone and word gets around real fast.

Living on Lake Champlain seems like a "forever" vacation. While our home is not "on the lake" it is on the river and we are able to walk down our back yard and see and hear the river flowing on with delightful energy...

In such a small town you would think that everyone would be known..
Truth is, few know me... ..... one fellow I went to school with blamed it on my glasses as to why he didn't know who I was........... ahhhh come on Ron....I KNOW it is the extra weight, wrinkles and my grey hair........ LOL I did however, recognize him and his beautiful wife Sue..(She has the voice of an angel and sings in or church choir)

I love being home and find such delight in being able to walk to church each day... I love our pastor Father Joe; and am getting to know all the parishioners... Our oldest son and wife and family live two doors away in the old homestead that I grew up in and we have the grand kids running in and out...

I am a Gramma, Great-Gramma, and mother of five grown-up children and two adopted children; Joseph age 19 and Jonathan age 22.
Our Jonathan has retardation from the
pre-natal alcohol and drugs his mama did; and will never live on his own. (He went through 9 months of withdrawal from the cocaine) .

Joseph lives with
FAS wounds that can never heal

I love my home and all the activities that go with the calling..be it cleaning, cooking, baking bread, washing, making my Dad lunch, or having a cup of early morning coffee as I do my devotions, and watch the water gusing over the rocks in the river behind our home..

Nature is a gift...With retirement, came more time to make use of the creative gifts God has bestowed upon me. Quilting, sewing, knitting and crocheting became a venue for the
"For the Heart" prayer cloth ministry.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying Oh, that You would bless me indeedand enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me,and that You would keep me from evil, so I may do not harm. So God granted him what he requested .

God has surely bless us.

Thank you Lord for letting me come home
